2D and 3D

Maths for term 4

       

                    We are learning how to identify Geometry and fraction

In term 4 , Rm 12 are working on Geometry. What's Geometry. Well, it means shapes, 2d and 3d shapes. 2d means two dimensional  and something that is flat like a paper. 3d means three dimensional shapes are shapes that you can see the whole shape. Triangle, rectangle, circle, oval, square, cube and sphere are shapes.

2D shape

 Here's a picture of a 2D shape. 

This triangle is a 2D shape. Why? Because it does not show the whole triangle. It's  just the face that shows up  but not the rest of the shape.

3D shape

Heres a picture of a 3D shape.

This cube is a 3D shape. Why? Because it does not show the whole cube. It's just the face that shows up but not the rest of the shape.

Really enjoyed making 2D and 3D shapes.
